ABSL Power Solutions is now a member of the Hethel Engineering Centre consortium of excellence. As the only volume manufacturer of Lithium Ion cells within the UK, it leads the battery power solution arm of the Hethel Engineering team. Its direction in brief terms are four fold;

1. To introduce ABSL Power Solutions as a leader in the innovation of battery solution technology.
2. Will be a leader in supporting the growth and success of high performance advanced engineering and manufacturing.
3. Push the bounderies of low carbon battery power solutions.
4. Drive to implement strategies to increase innovation performance.

The Hethel Engineering Centre vision is as follows;

Key priority focuses are innovation, enterprise and skills. So create an innovation hub that is focused on:

• Innovation – exploiting hi tech ideas / invention
• Enterprise – providing incubation space and bespoke business support
• Skills – deliver / facilitate training & development of the future high skilled workforce

Develop a key strategic site that becomes a key component in growing a knowledge based / low carbon economy. So progress the development of a Science & Technology Park that is a key strategic employment site in Greater Norwich / Norfolk.

Build an advanced engineering Centre of Excellence with specific focus on low carbon vehicles that is at the heart of a nationally and internationally recognised cluster.
