Investing in the people delivering portable power for the future

On a record high, AEA Battery Systems was formally recognised today as an employer who is investing in its people as Dave Loughborough, Managing Director of AEA Battery Systems is presented with the much acclaimed Investors in People (IIP) award.
Commenting, Dave Loughborough, Managing Director of AEA Battery Systems said:
"World-leading companies rely on their people to deliver success. We've invested heavily in training and developing our people and through adopting a Japanese work ethos where pride, attention to detail and quality are paramount. The result of this was demonstrated in January when we reached record production figures."
In the last 3 years, AEA Battery Systems, the workforce in Thurso has more than quadrupled from 30 people to around 200. IIP accreditation recognises the company's achievements throughout this period.
Anne Sutherland, Head of Skills Development for Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise said:
